Psychology
Are you curious about human behaviour, why people do what they do? Why it takes so much effort to live environmentally friendly? How equality and inclusion can improve society and combat polarisation? How we can measure the effects of psychoactive drugs on our cognition? How we can improve the mental wellbeing of children? How child’s play stimulates language development? How we can incorporate virtual reality in clinical practice? How we can quickly trace developmental disorders? How people can keep doing valuable work when more and more task are taken over by artificial intelligence? How we can improve suicide prevention by way of machine learning? How people get obsessed with TikTok? How we can combat misinformation? Then the bachelor Psychology is the right programme for you.

Study choice tips
Step 1: Discover
Create a general map of interest by answering these questions:
- What are your preferred courses?
- What are you good at/not so good at?
- What don’t you like to study?
- In what language would you prefer to study?
Be concrete > write it down > ask for help!
Look for studies based on the map you've created.
Step 2: Compare
Now that you know what kind of studies suit you, you can start exploring their differences:
- Make a list of those study programmes that appeal to you most.
- For each study programme, write down what is the focus how it relates to your interests and skills.
Evaluate the following aspects of each programme:
- Curriculum
- Admission requirements
- Teaching methods
- Facilities, infrastructure and resources
- Reputation and accreditation
- Future perspectives
Step 3: Experience
Once you have a favourite programme in sight, see if that environment fits you. You can do this in several ways:
- Visit an open day or experience day to see what it's like to be there
- Talk to current students of that programme
- Talk to staff members
- Ask yourself: will this study motivate me?
- Ask yourself: will I experience a sense of belonging?
