  • Arts and Culture is the #4 Arts and Culture bachelor’s programme in the Netherlands: Keuzegids 2024

    The bachelor's programme Arts and Culture is ranked on the 4th place in the “Algemene Cultuurwetenschappen” category of the Dutch University Guide: Keuzegids 2024. Our students have rated the programme with an overall score of 58.

    The Keuzegids Universiteiten offers rankings of all bachelor’s programmes in the Netherlands. These rankings are based on the results from the Dutch National Student Survey, combined with expert evaluations. The Keuzegids Universiteiten is published annually by the Dutch Higher Education Information Centre. It is an independent publication that allows you to compare all accredited bachelor’s programmes in the Netherlands.

  • UM is the 13th best Young University in the world

    The Young University Rankings 2020

    Maastricht University ranked 13th place in the 2023 Times Higher Education (THE) 'Young Universities' ranking for best young universities in the world. UM is proud that its efforts, including in the fields of education and research, have been rewarded in this ranking.

    In the 2021 QS 'Top 50 Under 50' (best universities in the world under 50 years old), UM rose from 23rd to 19th place. 

    These special rankings for young universities are published to give an indication as to which universities are expected in the future to become the top universities worldwide.
