Tuition fees
Maastricht University has a statutory and an institutional tuition fee. Which tuition fee you have to pay depends on your situation.
You can find more information about tuition fees in the UM Enrolment Provisions 2024-2025.
The UM enrolment provisions 2025-2026 will be added on this page in April 2025.

Please note: You have to pay tuition fees for every academic year in which you are enrolled. If you require more time to complete your studies than you anticipated (for example four instead of three years), or if you decide to spread out your one-year study programme over two academic years, you will have to pay tuition fees for every new enrolment year. More information about this is available on the webpage ‘Tuition fees’.
Intensive and small scale
The Global Studies programme is intensive and small scale, offering personal attention and an academic community, and has been granted the BKKI label. Therefore for EU/EEA students, Global Studies charges a higher statutory tuition fee (in line with other BKKI programmes such as University College Maastricht and Maastricht Science Programme). The faculty board has decided to not apply the higher tuition fee for non-EU/EEA students.
