Why this programme?
In a rapidly changing business environment, an organisation’s strategy, adaptability and capacity for innovation are essential for viability and competitiveness. Strategy & Innovation covers a broad range of topics that are crucial for developing a deep understanding of strategy and innovation decisions. It combines studies of international business, strategic decision-making and innovation management. You’ll learn to maintain a ‘big-picture’ overview of a company and its capabilities, to think critically and creatively about strategic business problems, and to be able to see them in context within the wider organisation.
Student profile
Strategy & Innovation is a ‘big-picture’ programme. You’ll be exposed to a broad range of international business issues and will learn how to integrate these strategically in the decision-making process. To succeed in today's complex business world, you need the ability to look beyond the obvious, easy answers, to come up with creative solutions and new approaches to old problems. You'll be able to put your creativity to work in this programme and will learn to help businesses be adaptable so they're better able to gain and maintain a competitive advantage. Graduates with a bachelor’s degree in business or a business-related subject will do well, though this is not essential. Our students have come from a variety of backgrounds, including health sciences, engineering and European studies.
