Tuition fees

Maastricht University has a statutory and an institutional tuition fee. Which tuition fee you have to pay depends on your situation.

You can find more information about tuition fees in the UM Enrolment Provisions 2024-2025. 
The UM Enrolment Provisions 2025-2026 will be added on this page in April 2025.
 

Academic year 2024/25

  • The statutory tuition fee (generally for EU/EEA students) for this programme is: €2,530
  • The institutional tuition fee (generally for non-EU/EEA students) for this programme is: €16,600
  • The statutory part-time tuition fee (generally for EU/EEA students) for this programme is: not applicable  
  • The institutional part-time tuition fee (generally for non-EU/EEA students) for this programme is: not applicable
     

Academic year 2025/26

  • The statutory tuition fee (generally for EU/EEA students) for this programme is: €2,601
  • The institutional tuition fee (generally for non-EU/EEA students) for this programme is: €21,400
  • The statutory part-time tuition fee (generally for EU/EEA students) for this programme is: not applicable  
  • The institutional part-time tuition fee (generally for non-EU/EEA students) for this programme is: not applicable

Please note: you have to pay tuition fees for every academic year in which you are enrolled. If you require more time to complete your studies than you anticipated (for example four instead of three years), or if you decide to spread out your 1-year study programme over 2 academic years, you will have to pay tuition fees for every new enrolment year.   • a transitional arrangement for students who were enrolled at UM for a bachelor’s, pre-master’s or master’s programme in 2024-2025.
