Science Education: Model-Based Inquiry
Full course description
Science teaching is a complicated craft, involving extensive knowledge and skills from various fields that you will not have time to completely master by the end of this course. In this course, students will develop and use explanatory models for a core idea in science, which will play a key role in their lesson plans and implementation of teaching activities.
Course objectives
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
- prepare to carry on inquiry-oriented activities by engaging in investigations involving exploration and discovery
- develop a series of explanatory models and activities to explain a specific phenomenon
- evelop teaching skills by preparing and implementing an in-depth inquiry project
