Introduction to Academic Writing and Year 1 Paper
Full course description
Your work on the Year 1 paper will be supported by tutorial meetings on academicwriting. Your writing process will be supported by an English writing training course givenby staff members from the Language Centre (LC). During this training course, you will betaught the essentials of writing an academic research paper and attention will be paid tothe avoidance of plagiarism (scientific integrity). The course consists of five tutorialsessions. 100% attendance at these sessions is mandatory. The activities in thetutorials are available in the slides used in each session and in the “Guide to AcademicWriting”, all of which are made available via Canvas. These materials directly assist youin completing your assignment. Academic writing tutorials form a central part of the Year 1 paper course. They arespecifically designed to help you write your narrative literature review as required by theYear 1 Paper assignment.
