Fundamentals of Supply Chain Management
Full course description
This course is the introduction course for the business specialisation in supply chain management. Students will require a solid foundations in the topics and tools of both operations and supply chain management. While a strong internal operations function is vital to a firm’s survival, it is not sufficient. Firms must also understand how they link in with their supply chain partners. In this course, we will cover a wide range of topics such as supply chain strategy, forecasting, inventory management, purchasing, logistics, JIT/Lean, Quality and Capacity management.Course objectives
Students obtain basic insight in operations and Supply Chain Management and understand relations with other functions. Students also learn basic project management skills.Prerequisites
