Multivariable Calculus
Full course description
Multivariate calculus is the extension of calculus of one variable to calculus with functions of several variables: notably the differentiation and integration of functions involving multiple variables. Considerable attention will be devoted to vector calculus, with focus on differentiation and integration of vector fields, primarily in 3-dimensional Euclidean space. Throughout the course, we maintain a strong emphasis on its application in Physics and Chemistry.
Course objectives
This course is intended to introduce Science students in the essential mathematics to describe continuous systems with multiple variables, especially to analyse continuous time-varying systems as they occur in Electromagnetism, Hydrodynamics, and Quantum Mechanics
