  • UM Faculty of Law maintains high position in 2023 THE subject ranking

    UM ranked 3rd for Law

    The faculty consolidates its already strong position in the 2023 ranking by maintaining its 23th position. Looking at all law faculties within the European Union, we are very proud to see that we also kept the third place in this prestigious ranking.

    Covering 11 subject areas, Times Higher Education’s (THE) annual World Subject Rankings provides an overview of the best places in the world to study a chosen discipline. The rankings table for LAW uses the same range of 13 performance indicators as the overall World University Rankings combined with scores provided under the following five categories: Teaching, Research, Citations, International outlook, and Industry income.

    THE is a leading provider of higher education data for the world's research-led institutions and helps students around the world making the right study choice.

  • EC recognition of customs law courses at UM Faculty of Law

    In June 2021, the European Commission (DG TAXUD) issued an official certification for the customs law courses which are taught at Maastricht University. The certificate, underlines the quality of the courses, and labels them as “State-of-the-art”. More information on the certification can be found here.

    The Young University Rankings 2020

    De Universiteit Maastricht staat in 2023 op de dertiende plaats in de Times Higher Education (THE) ‘Young Universities’ ranking van beste jonge universiteiten ter wereld. De UM is er trots op dat haar inspanningen, onder meer op internationaliseringsgebied, zijn beloond in deze ranking.

    Daarnaast staat de UM op plek 19 in de QS ‘Top 50 under 50’ uit 2021.

    Deze speciale rankings voor jonge universiteiten laten zien welke universiteiten naar verwachting in de toekomst tot de wereldtop behoren.
