Please note: you have to pay tuition fees for every academic year in which you are enrolled. If you require more time to complete your studies than you anticipated (for example four instead of three years), or if you decide to spread out your 1-year study programme over 2 academic years, you will have to pay tuition fees for every new enrolment year.
More information about this is available on the webpage ‘Tuition fees’.
Tuition fee waivers for EU/EEA students
In case applicants from EU/EEA countries are unable to pay the Forensic Psychology institutional tuition fee, which is higher than the Forensic Psychology statutory tuition fee set by the Dutch government, they might apply for a waiver. We might offer a tuition fee waiver for these applicants to cover the difference between the two fees.
Applicants can apply for this tuition fee waiver by submitting a waiver request along with the Forensic Psychology application. The request for a waiver should include a letter stating the reasons for their inability to pay together with official documentation of their financial situation, such as recent (parental) tax return or statements of personal wealth. Waiver requests must be submitted simultaneously with the application. Waiver requests received after the application deadline or separate from an application cannot be processed.
Maastricht University reviews all waiver requests during the application process and informs the applicant on its decision as soon as possible.
Waiver requests are rejected if applicants have:
- personal funds available,
- parents or guardians who are able to support them financially,
- access to maintenance grants,
- access to subsidised loans.
