CES - biking in the Netherlands tips

Transport

We highly recommend buying or renting a bike during your time abroad. It's one of the best ways to integrate into Dutch life, explore with ease and make it to class on time! On of the easiest ways is to rent a bike via Swapfiets or you can pick one up second-hand via the facebook group Buy / Sell a bike in Maastricht   or Student Bike Maastricht  .

If you are studying for more than 90 days at Maastricht University your CES coordinator will apply for your visa or resident permit for you.

If you are a US or Australian citizen you are able to stay in the Netherlands for up to 90 days without a visa.

You DO need a visa for a stay of up to 90 days if you are a national of one of the following countries: check overview  .
