English: Effective communication

Would you like to become more confident at using English? Would you like to take an English course that is based around your communication needs?

Then why don’t you sign up for one of our Effective Communication courses? These courses will help you communicate more accurately and effectively in study, work and social environments. Each course begins with an assessment of your communication needs. Then, your tutor will tailor the course taking your needs into consideration. You’ll take part in a variety of communicative tasks, such as discussions, role plays, and communication games; learn the grammatical structures necessary for such tasks; and also expand your knowledge of natural English expressions for a variety of situations. And of course, you’ll also have fun and make friends in the process!

After you’ve taken this course you’ll be able to interact in English with a higher degree of fluency and spontaneity.

'I want to thank you for the nice lessons. It was good to see that you were able to create a “safe” environment between the group were everyone was comfortable and not afraid to make mistakes. And everyone was telling personal stories. And in the mean time I have learned a lot!'

Enrico Toffoli | Project leader Department of Research Engineering UM
