UM is the ninth best Young University in the world
Maastricht University ranked ninth place in the 2022 Times Higher Education (THE) 'Young Universities' ranking for best young universities in the world. UM is proud that its efforts, including in the fields of education and research, have been rewarded in this ranking.
In the 2021 QS 'Top 50 Under 50' (best universities in the world under 50 years old), UM rose from 23rd to 19th place.
These special rankings for young universities are published to give an indication as to which universities are expected in the future to become the top universities worldwide.

Triple Crown accreditation - School of Business and Economics
Only 1% of business schools worldwide have been honoured with the ‘Triple Crown’ of accreditations. The Maastricht University School of Business and Economics is one of them. The accreditations are awarded by the American AACSB, the British AMBA and the European-wide EQUIS. Have a look at what the international accreditation boards had to say about us:

Our students rated the School of Business and Economics among the top 46 leading Positive Impact Schools
Once again, our students rated the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics as a Level 4 Transforming School in the Positive Impact Rating 2022. A Level 4 business school is acknowledged as having a positive impact culture, embedded in governance and systems, with visible results progress in many impact dimensions.
For the Positive Impact Rating (PIR) students from around the world assessed their business schools on how they perceive their positive impact in the world. With this rating, PIR aims to measure how business schools contribute to solving societal challenges. The School of Business and Economics will use this rating as a tool to help us continue to increase our positive impact and become a pioneering force for change!
