Thanks to the unique structure of the master’s programme in Artificial Intelligence, I experienced a very focused, motivated, and dynamic environment.

Thanks to the unique structure of the master’s programme in Artificial Intelligence, I experienced a very focused, motivated, and dynamic environment. I also highly appreciated the creative teaching methods and connecting with people from all over the world.

Which courses are most interesting?

From my point of view, two of the most exciting courses have been autonomous robotic systems, where many solution strategies are inspired by nature, and deep learning, which involves state-of-the-art research review and application.

How is your student life?

To put it simply, it is amazing! Balancing assignment deadlines and study sessions can be very enjoyable when spending time in a beautiful city with your friends and looking forward to an evening refreshment next to the river.

How did you find housing?

Unfortunately, I never moved to Maastricht but stayed in my hometown of Aachen. I can only recommend that you do not repeat my mistake, start searching early. Use services like Maastricht housing to make sure you do not miss out on the full experience, including, for instance, UM sport associations.
