The Master Sustainability Science and Policy provided an opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of sustainability challenges
“Previously, I worked as an Environmental Control Officer at a Uranium Mine in Namibia that was in construction phase. Through my work experience I realized that there is a gap between the ideals of sustainability and the implementation of sustainability on the ground - in other words, the implementation of "sustainable development" is often lacking or ineffective. The Master Sustainability Science and Policy provided an opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of sustainability challenges and provided me with the knowledge to assess and develop effective responses to these challenges. I expect that sustainability will (inevitably) play a bigger role in our future - thus I thought I might as well get acquainted with it.
The PBL approach in combination with the students that come from various cultural, study and work experience backgrounds allows this program to provide a very interesting and interactive learning environment."
