In this skills training you explore the science of creating new, innovative food products through a comprehensive understanding of ingredient selection, formulation design, processing technologies, and sensory evaluation. During this intensive course you learn to develop a food product from the raw ingredients to the final packaging. You will develop a strong foundation in the skills and knowledge required to create innovative, consumer-driven food products that meet market demands and regulatory requirements.Doelstellingen van dit vak
At the end of this course students are able to: • Identify key factors influencing the development, production, and commercialization of food products. • Identify and analyze consumer preferences, as well as stay up-to-date with industry trends. • Design food formulations using appropriate ingredient selection, processing techniques, and preservation methods. • Optimize new product designs and/or improve existing offerings by implementing diverse product development techniques.VSK3005
