Gut Microbiology

This course is a sequel to Microbiology, and focuses on the bacteriology and virology of the intestine tract. It deals both with the microbiome of the healthy gut and on the role of microorganisms in a host of diseases of the gut. Furthermore, ways to influence the gut microbiome with bacteriotherapy and pre- and probiotics are discussed.
