This course covers the latest insights in the psychology of the sense of taste. Through problem-based learning tasks and lectures the sense of taste and how it relates to food selection and intake is examined. Various topics will be addressed, such as the importance of integrated gustation and olfaction in taste perception, the dynamics of taste acuity, the consequences of taste changes, taste disorders and their impact on psychological well-being, and the role of memory and context in taste perception.VSS3102
