This course is an introduction course into supply chain management. Students will require a solid foundations in the topics and tools of both operations and supply chain management. While a strong internal operations function is vital to a firm’s survival, it is not sufficient. Firms must also understand how they link with their supply chain partners, including customers, distributors, manufacturers, and suppliers. In this course, we will cover a wide range of topics such as supply chain strategy, forecasting, inventory management, purchasing, logistics, JIT/Lean, Quality and Capacity management.
