Intervening in Innovation
Volledige vakbeschrijving
The purpose of this course is two-fold. First, it introduces students to recent changes in the relationships between science, technology and society, and notably changes in how society aims to normatively guide innovation. Second, it teaches students to write a research proposal, following a common format for such proposals. This proposal has to focus on a topic that has a clear link with the subject of the course and should draw on literature mentioned in the course book and on discussions in class. At the same time, these requirements leave ample room to develop students' own interests.
