Introduction to Knowledge Engineering teaches how to translate problems from the real world into a more abstract format. These abstracted problems will then be related to a Knowledge Engineering topic. A solution to the problem will be provided in the form of an algorithm to be applied by the students. As such, the course offers an overview of the core topics and material of the Bachelor programme. After completing this course students will have a good overview of Knowledge Engineering techniques, and the broadness of the field Knowledge Engineering applications. Furthermore the students will get introduced to a more abstract way of thinking about real-world problems in a Knowledge Engineering setting.
